Heat Pumps and Ambient Cooling

Heat pumps are the modern alternative to air-conditioning units. The cooling process works in both active and passive operation.

Active cooling reverts the pump’s function. Ambient heat is being extracted and cooled via the integrated compressor. Using the resulting waste heat, a heat exchanger can then produce, for instance, domestic hot water.

Ground-source heat pumps can be switched to passive cooling mode. The installation pumps the room air through cooler areas in the ground or through ground water. Depending on the setting, the passive mode can reduce the annual cooling costs by up to 80%.

We are active in the following fields of application: cooling/district heat systems, hospitals, energy contracting, process cooling systems, data processing centres, ambient cooling systems.

We would be happy to show you the best solution for your specific environment in a feasibility study.
